Founded in 2000, Geneva has always been at the forefront of design and technology in creating great brass musical instruments.
Our latest Geneva Cardinal professional brass band range models are in keeping with that lineage.
We make our instruments in Europe, where manufacturing handmade brass and woodwind instruments has been embedded in the life and soul of the local community workforce since 1842.
Our research & development projects collaborating with both musicians and engineers such as TWI-Global, one of the world’s foremost independent research and technology organisations, with expertise in materials joining and engineering processes, has seen us able to continually improve our instruments without compromise to the sound and intonation we so hold essential to our brands.
The partnership with Simply Think Music INC trading as Geneva Bandroom USA has opened up the distribution and supply across the pond enabling brass musicians to now enjoy these fine quality instruments in the States and also Canada.
At Geneva Band room USA, our mission is to provide high-quality musical instruments and accessories to musicians of all skill levels. We believe that everyone should have access to the tools they need to create beautiful music. These tools include Eb soprano cornets, Bb cornets, Bb Trumpets, Flugelhorns, Tenor horns, Baritone horns, Euphoniums and Tubvas.

The venturi, featured on all the Geneva Cardinal lead pipes, is designed to allow the musician to instantly have much more sound, and an almost resistant free experience. This also gives the player much more flexibility in all ranges

The Geneva Cardinal brass band range of instruments are engineered out of yellow brass, rose brass and nickel.
The yellow brass is what is used to form the valve case as it is hard brass with minimal vibration so keeps the intonation in line.
Rose brass is very commonly used on flugelhorns as it is a soft alloy and vibrates at a relatively slow rate which gives a soft tone to the instrument.
The Geneva Cardinal Brass band instruments use Rose brass on all of the curves on the slides, continuation of the lead pipe and also the initial bow/crook of the bell which enhances the players personal tone, however rose brass also slows the air speed down so all of the straights on the instrument are made of nickel which is a very hard metal and keeps that air speed up which gives the player a very open and easy blowing feel. It also gives them increased flexibility in all ranges as they do not have to work so hard to push the air speed when going up into the higher register.
Brass instruments have been made of brass and nickel for decades but it is the way that Geneva have brought all of these metals and alloys in one instrument is unique but, read the next section on projection to find out the really clever part...

If you have read the previous section you already know how Geneva have created an award winning range of brass band instruments which enhance the players own sound but the really clever part happens at the end of the bell, known as ' the flair'.
The sound when it comes through the bow/crook of the bell is a full rounded tone and a really big sound which has been created right from the venturi through the slides and valves so when the instrument is played at Pianissimo to mezzo forte you get that dreamy principal soloist sound the everyone craves but you also blend well with your section, however once you push the instrument a bit further beyond forte the flair, which is made of nickel takes the sound and projects it far beyond other instruments.
This doesn't mean that all Geneva Cardinal instruments are louder than others it just means that all Geneva players don't have to work so hard to increase their volume.
But it doesn't stop there especially with smaller bore instruments from cornets through to soprano cornets and Bb trumpets. Because of this ease of projection it makes the higher range so much easier and the instruments slot and in the case of trumpets sizzle beautifully.

The rental is for a set term of 36 months with a monthly payment. On the 36th month the instrument can either be returned, purchased for 50% of the retail price as of the start of the term Or we can agree an extended rental term at the same monthly rent.

We take a security deposit equivalent to 4 months payments at the commencement of the term. This is held in escrow and returned at the end of the term subject to the instrument coming back in good condition. We also hold a credit card on file with your authorisation for us to take the monthly payments on the 1st of each month as agreed

Geneva Cardinal GVL Euphonium
Since its formation in 2000, Geneva has prided itself on being at the cutting edge of design and technology in the manufacturing of brass band instruments. The Geneva Cardinal 2023 models continue that tradition.
All the instruments that Geneva sell have been designed to allow the player to achieve their true potential.
Central to this has been Geneva’s understanding of the properties of differing metals and how this affects both the sound, tuning and technical flexibility of the full range of Brass Instruments.
In addition to the scientific and engineered approach to manufacturing, Geneva has also enlisted the help of the real professionals ... the musicians who play the instruments.
The Geneva Heritage Range was developed with input from maestro Phillip McCann ex-principal cornet of The Black Dyke band and world known solo artist. This range of instruments put Geneva into the top professional tier of brass bands with many musicians favoring the sound and feel of the instruments.
The 2023 Geneva Cardinal Range used a number of combined expert musicians in the design process including Richard Marshall, the current principal cornet player for The Black Dyke band, Glenn Van Looy, the solo Euphonium player for the Vailasia Band, and world admired musician Joe Cook, probably one of the best known and admired tuba players ever to grace the low brass instruments.
The Cardinal and Heritage range also extend beyond the brass band world with the addition of Trumpets and French Horns
Geneva realized early on that it was not just about science, engineering and how the instrument performs. The design, look and feel had to go over and beyond.
The latest Geneva Cardinal range incorporates red brass, silver nickel and black nickel with a silver main body finish or lacquered finish both which are truly stunning.
