Since its formation in 2000, Geneva has prided itself on being at the cutting edge of design and technology in the manufacturing of brass band instruments. The Geneva 2023 models continue that tradition.
All the instruments that Geneva sell have been designed to allow the player to achieve their true potential. Central to this has been Geneva’s understanding of the properties of differing metals and how this affects both the sound, tuning and technical flexibility of the full range of Brass Instruments.
In addition to the scientific and engineered approach to manufacturing, Geneva has also enlisted the help of the real professionals ... the musicians who play the instruments.
The Geneva Heritage Range was developed with input from maestro Phillip McCann ex-principal cornet of The Black Dyke band and world known solo artist. This range of instruments put Geneva into the top professional tier of brass bands with many musicians favoring the sound and feel of the instruments.
The 2023 Geneva Cardinal Range used a number of combined expert musicians in the design process including Richard Marshall, the current principal cornet player for The Black Dyke band, Glenn Van Looy, the solo Euphonium player for the Vailasia Band, and world admired musician Joe Cook, probably one of the best known and admired tuba players ever to grace the low brass instruments.
The Cardinal and Heritage range also extend beyond the brass band world with the addition of Trumpets, French Horns, Saxophones, Bassoons, Bass Clarinets and Sousaphones.
The Geneva Lineage Range of saxophones have been compared to sought after 1950s Selmer instruments and are a wonderful piece of technology to look at let alone play.
The Geneva Kraslice range goes further into orchestral options and is already a world renowned brand in its own right.
Geneva realized early on that it was not just about science, engineering and how the instrument performs. The design, look and feel had to go over and beyond.
The latest Geneva Cardinal range incorporates red brass, silver nickel and black nickel with a silver main body finish or lacquered finish both which are truly stunning.
